The Diskette Workshop
Recovery

Most PC users have over 50 floppy diskettes. With proper cleaned drives and correct stored floppies, the expected data retention time is about 2 years. Every 2 years the formatting and data must be rejuvenated or the format/data signal becomes weak in places and Read Error occurs.

Almost all have had diskettes with read errors. These prevent DOS from reading the diskette. The Diskette Workshop's RECOVER command rescues you. It uses all tricks of the trade to wring the data off the diskette. Such a facility easily saves you hours redoing a job. The recipe:

    1) Make Disk Image.
    2) Recover.
    3) Copy Image to diskette
